Atlanta Motor Speedway tickets just $1 - Daytona Winners deal from NASCAR

Atlanta Motor Speedway tickets are currently available for the four day NASCAR events coming in early March.  The big race there will be on March 7th, 2010 at 1PM EST when the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Kobalt Tools 500 is featured.  Tickets for the race have been a great deal too, with tickets priced at just $1 starting at 9AM on 2/15/10, today.  After, the first 1,000 of those tickets sell out, then they will offer a new deal.  The first ticket purchased is $85, and the second will be just $1.  The average cost of the two tickets, will be just $43 to see some great NASCAR racing in early March!

Wondering how the $1 NASCAR ATL ticket deal came about?  Atlanta speedway decided to offer a deal for three years whereby the winning number car of the Daytona 500 would set early ticket prices.  Since the winner of the Daytona 500, Jamie McMurray drives the #1 car, the tickets are offered at the price of just $1.  So a congratulations and thank you is in order to Mr. McMurray for his Daytona 500 victory on Sunday.  Another incentive to buy the $1 tickets is that one lucky "in line" fan who buys a $1 ticket will get to join the winning driver in victory lane at the ATL race in March.

The Atlanta Motor Speedway is located in Hampton, Georgia, with a quad oval total distance of 1.54 miles, and a seating capacity of well over 125,000 fans.  The track originally opened in 1960 and has undergone several upgrades to make it the great NASCAR track it is today.  The Kobalt Tools 500 race held there every March has been owned by Kyle Busch, who won the race in both 2008 and 2009.  Prior to that it was Jimmy Johnson in 2007.  Other events for the ATL speedway's early march weekend will include the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Georgia Power qualifying and the Camping World Series NASCAR Truck race on Saturday, March 6th.  See the full listing of events here at Ticketmaster.
