The Boston Bruins acquire Dennis Seidenberg as well as prospect Matt Bartkowski of the Florida Panthers for Craig Weller, Byron Bitz and a 2010 2nd round draft pick. The Bruins are getting the 28 year old defenseman Dennis Seidenberg from the Florida Panthers just a few hours after booting defenseman Derek Morris to the Phoenix Coyotes.
Seidenberg played for the 2010 Vancouver Olympics and will be hooking up with his 4th NHL team. Seidenberg has played in 357 games since being grabbed by the Flyers in the 6th round of the 2001 hockey draft. Seidenberg has 2 goals as well as 61 assists on this season.
