Update: Kurt Busch took home his 21st career win today in Atlanta. Earnhardt fizzled out in 15th place, and Jimmie Johnson never made it past 3rd the duration of Sunday's event.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. and the rest of the Hendrick Motorsports team were ready to take Atlanta by storm. The team is amongst the masses of Nascar racers at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. Having high hopes of going for their 3rd consecutive win, Earnhardt was slated as the crowd favorite and frontrunner. He even qualified for a 192.761 track record.  Jeff Gordon and Mark Martin were also top contenders in the Sprint Cup Series ranks. This season’s first three races of the NASCAR events saw Hendrick Cars coming out on top. Earnhardt Jr .nearly led Daytona with a 2nd place finish, and Jimmie Johnson pulled off wins at Las Vegas and Fontana.

However, surprising us all, is Kasey Kahne in the current lead, with Hamlin right on his bumper. Over 40 men are duking it out in true NASCAR fashion.
