In an impressive show of skill, first time Texas Motor Speedway race car driver, Denny Hamlin won. Due to excessive rain, the Texas Motor Speedway delayed the Samsung 500 from Saturday until Monday.
It was a heart-pounding race to watch especially when poor Tony Stewart crashed with a mere 17 laps left to go. The crash took out Jeff Gordon, Carl Edwards, Juan-Pablo Montoya, Kevin Harvick, and a few others. Even though Stewart has been on a high of sorts lately, this crash definitely took him down.
It was very exciting to see such a fresh face win! Congratulations Denny Hamlin and hopefully your career will be filled with many more wins!!!
