All eyes were on an NBA guard for his moves, but before the game even started. That's because Washington Wizards rookie John Wall recently decided to teach everyone "The Dougie" dance. The #1 draft pick from Kentucky showed off his dance steps prior to the Washington Wizards home opener against the Atlanta Hawks. Since then, the YouTube video of John Wall's "The Dougie" dance has been a huge viral sensation!
In case you haven't heard it, Cali Swag District brought out the hot song "Teach Me How To Dougie" which of course includes the trendy dance known as "The Dougie." John Wall decided to show some pizazz during introductions for the Wizards game and as you'll see in the video below, does one of the best Dougie dances in sports today. There's been others to try including football players and even a college basketball coach, but so far none seems to do it quite as well as John Wall.
The announcers for the Wizards joked about Wall needing to break away from his shyness. According to a report from CBS Sports, Wall also got recognition last fall when he did his very own "John Wall Dance" over at the University of Kentucky. Wall played just one season there before leaving for where the grass would be "greener" - the NBA. Now can wall translate his dance moves into similar moves on the court to elude defenders and eventually capture the NBA's Rookie of the Year award? Even more importantly can he bring respectability back to the Wizards franchise?
