Happy New Year everyone! Today is a college football fan's dream come true. There are six bowl games today, and there are many plots going on in each game! The first kicks off at noon with a shoot-out in Texas as the Northwestern Wildcats take on the Red Raiders of Texas Tech. That should be a high scoring game.
Florida takes on Penn State in the Outback bowl at 1:00 P.M. in the last game Urban Meyer will be coaching for the Florida Gators. With the game being played in Florida, it should definitely be advantage Gators, but Jo Pa and Penn State would love to spoil the party!
Alabama coach Nick Saban will be taking on his former team, the Michigan State Spartans in the Capital One Bowl at 1:00 P.M. Eastern. The Crimson Tide have to be somewhat disappointed not being in the championship game again, but the Spartans would love to take down the Crimson Tide and their old coach.
Mississippi State is taking on Michigan University in the Gator Bowl at 1:30 P.M. Is this the last game for Michigan Wolverines coach Rich Rodriguez? Rumors abound that former Michigan quarterback Jim Harbaugh could be waiting in the wings to take over. We shall see!
The grand daddy of them all, the Rose bowl kicks off at 5:00 P.M. and sees the #3 TCU Horned frogs take on the #4 Wisconsin Badgers. This is going to be a great game!
The final game of the day sees the Oklahoma Sooners take on the Connecticut Huskies in the Fiesta Bowl at 8:30 P.M., by then you may just be all footballed out!!
