West Virginia running back Noel Devine needs to have a big game in the Senior Bowl to prove he can compete at the next level. In practice during the week, Devine was often knocked down on the first hit and his already questionable size 5’ 7” does not help make the scouts and NFL teams feel comfortable drafting him.
To make matters worse, rumors have been circling that Noel Devine was kept out of pass blocking duties all together during practice. If this is true then many teams will already be looking to other prospects and DevineÂ’s suitors may grow very thin. He can make good headway today in the Senior Bowl by running with toughness and laying it all the line against the countries best.
It was reported recently that the Kansas City Chiefs had contacted Noel DevineÂ’s camp and are potentially interested in him as sort of a Darren Sproles type player doing some kick return duties and some passing and running touches. If this is the case then Devine will need to play well in the Senior Bowl or he could find himself with no potential homes after SaturdayÂ’s game.
