The updated 2011 NCAA bracket schedule reveals eight games coming up on Thursday and Friday for the Sweet Sixteen. This will lead to the Elite Eight and then the Final Four for four teams who survive the next two rounds.
For the Sweet Sixteen schedule, three #1 seeds remain in Duke, Ohio State and Kansas. Duke will play on Friday at 9:30PM against Arizona with the game televised on CBS. Ohio State plays Kentucky at 9:30PM on Friday, also on CBS, while Kansas plays the Richmond Spiders at 7:15PM on Friday. That game will be on TBS.
There's currently plenty of interesting bets going on for college basketball. Right now everything can be bet on from which conference will have the champion in this tournament to how many #1 seeds will make it to the Final Four. According to USA Today, Kansas has taken over as the favorite to win the championship, with Ohio State now in second. Previously, odds makers had the Buckeyes as the favorite.
The easiest path to the Final Four seems to be the one the Kansas Jayhawks have right now. They are playing the #12 seed Richmond team, and then will get either a #10 seed Florida State, or a potentially worn-out Virginia Commonwealth, the #11 Cinderella story. However, all of these teams have earned the right to continue playing and seem to get hungrier each round.
