The NBA playoff action continued on Wednesday night, and Oklahoma City and Miami both won by double-digits.
Miami advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals with a 97-87 victory over the Boston Celtics. The Heat outscored Boston 16-0 over the last 4:15 of the contest, and now awaits the winner of the Chicago/Atlanta series. Dwyane Wade and LeBron James controlled the game for the Heat as they combined for 67 points and 17 rebounds. Chris Bosh added 14 points and 11 rebounds as Miami won the series 4-1.
Oklahoma City took a 3-2 lead in their series with Memphis after a 99-72 victory over the Grizzlies. The game was tied at 17-17 after the first quarter, but the Thunder then went on a roll and won the game with ease. Kevin Durant played just 30 minutes in the contest and was the team's high scorer with 19 points. Oklahoma City got to rest their starters in the second half, and the bench kept the route going as they outscored the Grizzlies bench 53-27.
The Thunder will now travel to Memphis on Friday where it is a must-win situation for the Grizzlies. After such a disappointing showing, Memphis will need all the crowd support and intensity to even the series and force a game 7. The winner of this series will then face the Dallas Mavericks, who just swept the defending champion LA Lakers in their series.
