The 2011 Nathan's famous hot dog eating contest is back! You just can't get any more American than this! America's favorite thing to grill in the summer is a hotdog. Millions upon millions of dogs are sold every summer at baseball games, grocery stores and by street vendors everywhere.
People just love their hot dogs! They also love the annual Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest. Every year on the 4th of July at Coney Island in Brooklyn, New York, the "best of the best" come together to see who can eat the most hot dogs!
Think you have what it takes to compete? Nathan's sponsors several hot dog eating contests before the finals are held on July 4th. To get to the big show, all you have to do is win one of the contests held before the July 4th finals!
The list of contestants is out for this year, the 96th annual July Fourth International Hot Dog Eating Contest, and the only question for hot dog fans everywhere is, can anyone beat Joey Chestnut?
Chestnut will be seeking his 5th straight title in Brooklyn on July 4th. If you haven't seen one of these contests before, you need to tune in this Fourth of July. The event will be carried live at noon on ESPN and streaming online.
