It is very hard to believe the NBA is in a lockout with all the trade rumors going around. Monta Ellis has been speculated in many of these rumors and the latest about the shooting guard has him going to Indiana.
The Warriors back-court is loaded and the drafting of Klay Thompson just added more fire to Ellis being dealt. The latest news has the Indiana Pacers as the team looking for his services in a deal that would send Golden State Danny Granger.
The main reason this makes sense is that both players fill a need for the other. The Warriors would add Granger, a high scoring forward, who's game fits nicely in the Western Conference. Ellis would give the Pacers a much-needed shooting guard and that would help open opposing defenses and give Indiana's front-court more chances in the paint.
Indiana was one of the hottest teams down the stretch of the NBA regular season and adding Ellis would make the Pacers a strong contender for the playoffs again next season. The Warriors are trying to become contenders in the Western Conference and adding a veteran like Granger could only help the young Warriors in their quest for a playoff spot in the upcoming year.
