The Philadelphia 76ers have been rumored to have Iguodala on the trading block since the weeks leading up to the NBA Draft and the speculation has not slowed even though the league is in a lockout.
Iguodala is a terrific all-around player, but the 76ers seem destined to rid themselves of the small forward and his contract and the latest rumor has the team dealing him to Minnesota before the start of the next season.
Minnesota has plenty of talent to offer as the team is loaded in the front-court. Michael Beasley may have played his last game for the Timberwolves after the team drafted Derrick Williams in June. Williams and Beasley have similar games and keeping both players is highly unlikely.
Beasley is more of an explosive scorer and the 76ers need the added offense and Iguodala would give the Timberwolves a defensive minded player that has some offensive skills. Both teams would benefit from this deal, and it would work for both sides under the salary cap rules.
Look for both Minnesota and Philadelphia to make some moves before the upcoming season as both teams look to add the right pieces to their rosters to make improvements and become contenders in the NBA.
