Humphries was considered "run of the mill" prior to even dating Kim Kardashian, but has now seen his value jump since his courting of the reality TV socialite.
With Kim Kardashian wedding footage set to air on Sunday evening, Kris Humphries is being thrust more and more into the spotlight thanks to one of the paparazzi's favorite targets. It must be true love too, because Kim Kardashian could have gone for so many other athletes. Humphries has been an unspectacular player since entering the NBA back in 2004-05 season with the Utah Jazz, he hadn't averaged double digits in any stats until the 2010-11 season hit. Humphries had 2 seasons in Utah, 3 in Toronto, 1 in Dallas, and then landed with New Jersey. A courtside spectator named Kardashian happened to be checking him out at a game, and the rest is history, or the making of a highly successful future.
According to ESPN's recent report on Humphries, the Nets star was "one of the last players on the team we'd have thought would've been dating Kardashian." However, the relationship has started paying dividends for Humphries, as he is coming off a career season with the New Jersey Nets. His averages for the past season included 10 points a game and 10 rebounds a game, a nice double double that makes him attractive to any team, should he start testing the waters. However, he seems like a smart fit for the New Jersey Nets. The team would have Jay-Z, Beyonce and Kim Kardashian courtside for home games, drawing more fans no matter how badly they may be doing in the standings.
Speaking of attractive, having Kim Kardashian as his wife doesn't hurt either. It seems that love has brought Humphries a resurrected career thanks to a reality TV star diva, but the question is will Humphries see his fairy tale basketball success blocked by an evil NBA lockout?
