2011 NFL Trade Rumors – Osi Umenyiora to Bears?

Chicago surprised many experts around the NFL with their division title last season and if the Bears want to repeat as NFC North champions, the team needs to make some changes in the defensive front.

Osi Umenyiora has been disgruntled with the NY Giants for the past couple of seasons and mentioned in a number of trade rumors over the last year. The Chicago Bears are in the tough NFC North and will need to add a pass rushing end who can rush the passer if they have any chance at repeating last seasons success.

The latest NFL rumor has Umenyiora being sent to Chicago, and in return the NY Giants will get a decent draft choice or two and some much-needed piece in the locker room.

New York has too many distractions already as they enter the upcoming season and having a troubled player in the locker room will only cause more problems for the team in the long run. Look for the NY Giants to put out feelers on their defensive end and take the best possible deal they can in the next couple of weeks.
