Tonight UFC on Fox debuts with Dos Santos vs. Velasquez. This will be the first time ever that UFC has been shown on a major network in primetime. The fight features two of the best in MMA as Cain Velasquez puts his UFC Heavyweight Championship on the line against top contender Junior Dos Santos. An undercard full of mixed martial arts action will be shown streaming live online as well.
Mixed martial arts fans or those who haven't seen the sport yet could be in for a treat with tonight's big event. The Dos Santos vs. Velasquez fight card is set to go live on Fox at 9PM EST tonight. That will be the main event for the biggest championship in the business. However, there will also be 9 free preliminary fights streaming live online at the UFC's Facebook page, prior to the event. However, the main event is what Dana White and UFC are hoping gets the most attention. Cain Velasquez will hope to retain his title tonight, while Dos Santos looks to further increase his fighting success. To get ready for tonight, there will be a pre-fight show on Fuel TV starting at 7PM EST, and then a post-fight show, also on Fuel, starting at 10PM EST. The best thing about this for those new to watching UFC, or longtime fans, will be they won't have to pay to order a Pay-Per-View event. Should tonight's event be successful, that may mean more great free UFC events online and on TV in the future!
