Derrick Rose turned to his mother, seated next to Bulls GM Gar Forman news conference following the extension the reigning MVP signed with the Chicago Bulls and said, "I finally made it." Apparently the former Memphis Tiger wasn't kidding.

According to ESPN.com's Marc Stein, Derrick Rose is set to sign a $250 million "lifetime" contract with Adidas. This news comes a few days following the announcement that Rose was signing a max extension with the Bulls for $94.8 million.
One industry source insisted to ESPN.com this week that Rose's new shoe deal with Adidas will easily crack nine figures and could legitimately approach the $250 million range—as in $25 million annually over a 10-year span.
Stein also mentioned that D-Rose has surpassed LeBron James in sales, outselling the Miami Heat superstar in China, one of the NBA's most important global markets. At the ripe age of 23 years old, Rose is only looking up at the L.A. Lakers Kobe Bryant when it comes to total marketability.
Rose has insisted that the money will not change him, and what reason has he given the Bulls not to believe him? After all, Rose has made several million dollars already, is the man in his own city, and is coming off a fantastic season where he won the NBA MVP. Thus far this season the humble superstar still comes across as the same person that gained all the accolades in the first place. Still hungry and unsatisfied until he wins a championship, or more likely, multiple championships.
Derrick Rose is the same guy he's always been... just $350 million richer.
