Silence is golden. Such is the motto of every library and movie theater in the greater U.S. It also seems to serve professional athletes well during times of high tension. Just ask Reggie Bush and Kris Humphries in regards to Kim Kardashian.
Bush has refused comment on Kardashian in favor of Miami Dolphins future
Another day another lawsuit for Kim K. Now the reality TV starlet enters a courtroom battle against the clothing giant The Gap. Rumors claim the lawsuit involves Kardashian claiming the company used a look-alike of her in an Old Navy commercial. Undoubtedly several reporters have tried contacting Bush about the situation but he continues to offer nothing but silence on his ex-girlfriend. His focus remains on furthering his career with the Miami Dolphis and new head coach Joe Philbin. Every attempt by Kim Kardashian to rekindle a relationship has met with failure. Now her only hope seems to involve calling him as a witness in a pending trial. Desperate times call for desperate measures apparently. Reggie Bush knows a thing or two about that but how he has stayed quiet on the subject speaks to why his name has almost vanished from mainstream headlines. A surprise considering he posted career-best numbers during the 2011 NFL season. He's not the only one adopting this approach either.
Humphries leaves the dirty shots to Kim and Kourtney Kardashian in favor of NBA
Not too long ago people called Kris Humphries an idiot. However, should one look closer at the situation they might see the young NBA star isn't as dumb as people think. Much like Bush he's kept his jabs at Kim quiet for the most part. He's also continued playing the best basketball of his career, statistically. Meanwhile his ex-wife Kim and sister Kourtney Kardashian keep leveling broadsides at him on their show "Kourtney and Kim Take New York." Clearly they hate Humphries, or they're trying to rile him up so he'll fire back. Conflict creates controversy and controversy creates cash. That's a motto the Kardashians have earned their living by. The only problem is Humphries won't bite. He takes the extra boos from fans and the occasional criticisms from the media and keeps playing basketball. Now it sounds as if Kim and her family have lost their appeal. Since Humphries left the picture, the Kardashians saw their television ratings drop 14%, or 500,000 viewers. Such is the price of people growing bored with Kim and her sideshow.
Experts in sports always want the active approach with the loud voice and the high energy. Not enough credit is given to the value of silence and going about business without answering the naysayers. Kim Kardashian had hoped her stardom would endure post-divorce. Sadly for her, Reggie Bush and Kris Humphries aren't playing her game anymore.
