The Boston Celtics are at a crossroad for the 2011-12 NBA season as the team must decide if they want to acquire a player or two and make another run at a title or begin trading away their aging veterans and begin the rebuilding process with younger talent.
If the team decides to make a run for another title, making a deal before the trade deadline for some depth in their front-court will be necessary and the latest trade rumor has Kris Humphries on the trading block and the Celtics as one of the teams interested in acquiring his services.
The New Jersey Nets are going nowhere this season and the team will look to clear some salary cap space as they try to lure some big name free agents during the off-season. Humphries is averaging over 13 points and 10 rebounds for a bad team and a move to Boston could be a great move for him and the Celtics.
The NBA trade deadline is still a few weeks away and Boston will have some tough decisions to make, but if the team wants to make a run in the Eastern Conference, adding a 27-year-old who can play on both ends of the court will help this team no matter what direction the team intends to take.
