The New York Knicks are coming off a great win over Cleveland with a final score of 120-103. Jeremy Lin shined again in this game scoring 19 points with an incredible 13 assists. Carmelo Anthony also had in impressive outing scoring 22 points. They will need much of the same if they want to come out on top against the Celtics.
The Celtics are also coming off an impressive victory beating the Nets 107-94. Kevin Garnett and Rajon Rondo both had double-doubles. Garnett had 20 points with 10 rebounds and Rondo had 14 points with over 13 assists.
Keys to Victory
For the Knicks, they will need to rely on Carmelo Anthony and Jeremy Lin. They have been on the same page as of late and look to continue their run towards the playoffs. Lin is scoring 14.6 points per game and 6.1 assists per game. Anthony is also having an impressive season with 21.5 points per game and 4.1 assists per game.
For the Celtics, they will need production from their stars in Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and Rajon Rondo. Pierce is averaging 17.5 points per game with 5.4 assists per game. Garnett is averaging 15.1 points per game with 8.1 rebounds per game. They will need to rely on these players and continue to play lights out on defense.
This match up is what basketball fans want to see. There are so many stars on each team and it should make for a very competitive game.
