The WWE Wrestlemania 28 results for the Triple H vs. Undertaker match have now been decided. This match took place inside one of the most brutal structures known in pro wrestling, with the "Hell in a Cell" surrounding the ring. It also featured Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels as the special referee. So was it the "end of an era" or the "end of The Streak" at Mania? Who won the Triple H vs. Undertaker Wrestlemania match?
The Wrestlemania 28 results saw Triple H taking on The Undertaker for their second straight year at the big Pay-Per-View. Everything came into play inside Hell in a Cell, including chairs, steel steps, the cell itself, and Shawn Michaels. In fact, at several moments, Shawn Michaels was knocked out of the match. Another referee tried to officiate things, only to get chokeslammed. There were repeated chair shots, finishers, and a near Gallagher sledgehammer shot to smash open Taker's head.
The close of this match saw Triple H barely able to stand up, let alone pick up his sledgehammer. In the final moments, Taker yanked the Sledgehammer away from "The Game" and tossed it against the cage wall. Triple H gave the DX crotch chop to Taker, but the Deadman smashed him in the face with the sledgehammer. From there, Taker was able to grab him for The Tombstone and hit the finisher to win the match.
Michaels helped the beaten down Undertaker stand up following his victory, as Triple H remained motionless on the mat. Michaels raised the arm of Undertaker who now leaves Wrestlemania with an impressive 20-0 undefeated streak at the event. He also left the ring still able to walk, unlike last year's epic battle. The post-match moments saw three legends leaving the ring together, with Michaels and Undertaker helping Triple H up the ramp and backstage.
This was certainly a highly entertaining match, but did it outdo last year's fight? That will be one question that many fans and analysts debate in the coming days. For now, the WWE Universe will soak in tonight's "end of an era" wondering if Triple H and The Undertaker will wrestle in a match ever again.
WWE fans weigh in - was this Triple H's final match? Who do you think The Undertaker's next opponent at Wrestlemania will be, or was WM28 his final match?
