The 2012 NFL Draft begins next week and the Indianapolis Colts are on the clock. The team will likely take quarterback Andrew Luck with the top overall choice, but what other quarterbacks are likely to hear their name called next week?
CBS Sports has issued their final projections for the top 25 quarterbacks eligible for next week's draft and here is a look at those players and what round they are projected to become a professional football player.
Robert Griffin and Ryan Tannehill are the only other quarterbacks likely to be taken in the first round, but a number of other players that have climbed up the rankings over the off-season and will get selected by teams looking to add depth and hopefully find a future starter.
The biggest sleeper is small school star B.J. Cunningham from Chattanooga. Cunningham has ideal size at 6'3" and over 230 pounds, but his lack of experience against better competition has the youngster looking at a fifth or sixth round selection, but he could become a star in the NFL with the right team and coaching.
With the league relying more on the pass over the last few years, finding a signal caller has become even more important. Teams will reach for players in the attempt of finding the next Tom Brady and now with a rookie salary scale in place, it makes more sense than ever to take a gamble on these young men.
