Heading into the Garden
Miami Heat are taking on the Boston Celtics tonight in the NBA, which should prove to be a fun match up for basketball fans a like. Both of these teams have an all-star cast of players, and they will be looking to build some momentum heading into the playoffs.
This game should be an offensive display from such stars as Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and many more stars. There is some question, however, of whether these stars will start in tonight's game. Both teams may favor resting their stars for the playoffs, as opposed to building some momentum and tyring to get a win.
The Celtics have already beat the Heat three times this season, and they will be looking for a fourth tonight at the Garden.
Key Notes
The Heat said earlier that they would more than likely bench Lebron James, Chris Bosh, and Dwayne Wade. This alters their strategy completely as they may be lacking in terms of offensive production. The Heat are currently second in their division, which is right behind the Chicago Bulls. They still might overtake the Bulls in the division, but their chances are diminished with their stars being out of the game.
The Celtics might also sit out their stars in Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and Ray Allen. This will diminish their offensive production as well, and they will need their bench players to step it up if they want to overtake the Heat tonight. Boston is currently the fourth seed in the East division, and they are looking to build some momentum heading into the month of May.
Keys to Victory
With their stars being out, Miami will need production some stars like Mario Chalmers and Udonis Haslem. Chalmers is averaging 9.9 points per game, and will need to execute from the perimeter if they want to get revenge on the Celtics tonight.
For the Celtics, they will need to rely on Rajon Rondo, if he starts, and Brandon Bass. Bass is averaging 12.7 points per game, and the Celtics will need to rely on him since their big three might be on the bench.
