Monday night the NBA Playoff action continued and the LA Lakers season is now over after a 106-90 win by the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Kobe Bryant proved he is still one of the game's top players, but the rest of the LA Lakers struggled in the loss. Bryant scored 42 points on 18-33 shooting from the floor, the rest of the team made just 16 of 42 field goal attempts. The Thunder had strong performances from its "Big Three" as Russell Westbrook scored 28 points, Kevin Durant added 25, and James Harden added 17 as Oklahoma City advanced to the Western Conference Finals against San Antonio.
Boston took a 3-2 advantage in their series with Philadelphia as the Celtics defeated the 76ers 101-85. Brandon Bass was the star of the game as the youngster led the way with 27 points as he made 9-13 shots from the floor and 9-10 from the free-throw line. Veteran center Kevin Garnett added 20 points and six rebounds as the series will now move to Philadelphia for the next game.
With the NBA Western Conference Finals set, the East still has two exciting series remaining and the action will continue on Tuesday night as Indiana travels to Miami. The series is tied at two games each and the Heat are looking for a strong performance from LeBron James and Dwyane Wade to off-set the injury to Chris Bosh.
