The first game in the NBA Western Conference Finals was a nail biter as the San Antonio Spurs rallied late and defeated Oklahoma City 101-98 on Sunday night.
The Spurs have now won 19 straight playoff games, tying the record for most consecutive victories during the post-season. Reserve guard Manu Ginobli help rally the Spurs from a nine-point deficit after three quarters as the veteran scored a team high 26 points on 9-14 shooting from the floor. Point guard Tony Parker added 18 points, and veteran forward Tim Duncan scored 16 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the win.
Oklahoma City used nine block shots and eleven steals to stay in the game, but the Thunder struggled from the floor as they hit just 35-83 shots on the night. Kevin Durant led the team with 27 points and 10 rebounds, and point guard Russell Westbrook added 17 points but struggled all night with his shot as he managed to hit just 7-12 shots from the field.
The NBA action continues on Monday with the first game in the Eastern Conference Finals between Boston and Miami. Fans are in for a real treat with these two series as it matches two veteran squads in Boston and San Antonio against two of the better teams in the league this year in Miami and Oklahoma City.

It's the Spurs in 7. I can't see it going any less than that.
It's the Heat in 6--even though the Celtics are my team.
The Spurs should take the Heat in 6 or 7--already wiping away two parts of King James's arrogant prediction.
[Next year, the Thunder will wipe away a third part.]
Only way the Celtics win:
Allen becomes more reliable [translated, his ankles miraculously heal].
Rondo becomes unconscious and registers a triple double, in every game.
[Pierce becomes clutch Pierce and KG doesn't get excessively fatigued.]
All those wished-for factors are just that: Wished-For.
PS.....Ainge should already give Allen a new contract, for sacrificing his body.
