Heading Into Game 4
A compelling match up between the Spurs and the Thunder goes down tonight in the NBA. The series is currently being led by San Antonio 2-1, and they will be looking to end the chances for the Thunder to make a comeback with a win tonight.
San Antonio wants to prove to themselves and to their fans that game 3 was a fluke. They want to make a statement tonight to the rest of the NBA that they are the best team in the league. They will certainly need to match the Thunder's intensity on both ends of the floor if they want to make this come to fruition.
Thunder And Energy
Game 3 was controlled by the Thunder from the opening tip off. Kevin Durant went on to score 22 points and he also had 6 rebounds. Thabo Sefolosha had a break out game scoring 19 points and had 6 steals. This was the first time San Antonio has lost since April 11th. They played with desperation, and they will need to have the same type of game tonight if they want to bring the series even.
San Antonio was simply outplayed for the majority of the game. In their loss, Tony Parker went on to score only 16 points. The Thunder contained him throughout most of the game, and Tim Duncan only managed to put up 11 points. They will need better production from both of their stars if they want to go up 3-1 in the series tonight.
Keys To Victory
Game 4 will come down to who can get off their shots first and maintain the lead, which is something the Thunder did exceptionally well in game 3. For the Thunder, they will need Durant and Westbrook to utilize their perimeter shooting. They also need to contain Parker and Duncan in order to give them the upper hand.
For the Spurs, they will need to have better production from Tim Duncan and Tony Parker. They will also need better production from Ginobili, who wants to prove that he is the best sixth man compared to James Harden. They will need to contain Kevin Durant from the outside in order to come out the victors tonight.
