Justin Blackmon was arrested again on Sunday morning, furthering a growing reputation that he is a drunk. Blackmon got charged with an aggravated DUI, sporting a blood alcohol level higher than .15. It means that he was at least twice the legal limit during this arrest, showing just how immature this kid really is.
As reported by ESPN, this is the second time that Blackmon has been arrested for a DUI. In 2010 he got arrested in Texas on a misdemeanor DUI charge that got him suspended for one game by the Oklahoma State Cowboys. It's much worse this time though, because it shows that Blackmon didn't learn anything by his first arrest.
The Jacksonville Jaguars gave up a lot to trade up for Blackmon in the 2012 NFL Draft. He got selected with the No. 5 overall pick, with the franchise hoping that he could become a great receiver in the NFL for many years to come. After catching 122 passes for 1,522 yards and 18 touchdowns in college last season, it certainly seemed like a sure bet.
It's possible that the NFL could step in and issue a punishment against Blackmon if Jacksonville doesn't do it themselves. This is a pretty bad offense, especially for someone who had claimed to have cleaned up his act in college.
