The Belmont Stakes 2012 odds are currently available and it appears that the Preakness Stakes winner is favored not only to win this next race, but also the Triple Crown. I'll Have Another leads the way right now, with his biggest competitor not among the field of contenders.
The Belmont Stakes odds currently have I'll Have Another as a 3 to 5 favorite to win it all. He's trailed by two other horses that were in the Kentucky Derby. Dullahan is a 5 to 1 favorite, while Union Rags is a 6 to 1 favorite. After that is Paynter trained by Bob Baffert. The horses with the worst chances to win this race are Five Sixteen, Guyana Star, and Ravelo's Boy, which each have 50 to 1 as their odds to win.
The surprising factor in the Belmont race appears to be that Bodemeister won't be racing. He was the horse who gave I'll Have Another the most competition in the previous two legs of the Triple Crown. In fact, in both of those races, Bodemeister was leading up until the frantic finish. Could that mean this will be an easy victory for I'll Have Another, or will another thoroughbred surge ahead at the end to spoil his Triple Crown bid?
