NFL fantasy football owners are in heaven with Yahoo! opening up leagues for the upcoming football season. Owners have a few weeks to get their draft boards ready as they prepare for the league's draft later this summer.
Here is a closer look at a few wide receivers that could surprise and have a breakout year. Owners need these type of players to win a title as it has become increasingly more difficult to land good players with every pick, especially with all the research each owners puts into their draft.
Laurent Robinson had a terrific season for the Dallas Cowboys last year, but now he's the main man for the Jacksonville Jaguars, and that could mean even a bigger year for the former third round pick. Look for over 1,000 yards receiving, but equalling the eleven touchdowns he scored last year could prove to be more difficult.
A true sleeper for the upcoming season is Eric Page of the Denver Broncos. This undrafted free agent made over 300 reception in the last three years at Toledo and finds himself in a good spot with the weak group of wide outs in Denver. Page will likely return kicks and that will increase his value, so keep an eye out for this youngster during the pre-season as he could become the team's third receiver and a good late round option for fantasy football owners.
Every NFL season there are a number of no-name players that make a splash in the league, and while Robinson made some noise last year, these two players could help an owner hoist that championship trophy this year.
