The NBA Finals had a good night Thursday for the matchup between the Miami Heat and the Oklahoma City Thunder. Game 2 was rated as the highest Finals game watched since the 2004 matchup between the Detroit Pistons and the Los Angeles Lakers.
According to Nielsen Media via NBA.com, The 2004 game was rated a 12.3. Thursday night's game carried an overnight rating of 11.8, 12% higher when compared to last year's Miami Heat and Dallas Mavericks Game 2 that earned a rating of 10.5.
This is good news for the NBA. After the questionable foul calls made by referees in the Eastern Conference Finals and the lockout to start the season, an exciting NBA Finals was needed to possibly get back into the hearts of many fans that lost taste in basketball. In just the first two games of the Finals, the NBA is delivering. But who will win?
