The Toronto Maple Leafs have already made a couple deals this off-season, but are they the last moves for this storied NHL franchise?
The team added some offense by acquiring James van Riemsdyk and the Maple Leafs added a terrific young back-line player with their first pick in the draft last weekend, but the need for a true number one center and a veteran goalie are still needs this team must fill if they want to make a run at the playoffs next season.
The latest trade rumors have the Leafs looking at adding Roberto Luongo from Vancouver this summer. The veteran net minder has asked to move after another disappointing finish with the Canucks and that could help Toronto finally break their long playoff drought.
GM Brian Burke is on the hot seat with fans and it's time the team finally plays some good hockey. They have the pieces to make a run in the Eastern Conference and with adding a player like Luongo, making the top eight in the 2012-13 NHL season is a strong possibility.
