Monday Night Raw is just a couple of hours away from going on air in Fort Wayne tonight. It's not very often that John Cena tweets details about upcoming shows, but today he has promised to deliver the WWE Universe "an historic announcement" during the Raw tonight.
Following this tweet, fans have been in a frenzy trying to guess what the announcement will be. Recently John Cena granted his 300th Wish for the Make A Wish Foundation, a charity he has been heavily involved in over the years. It would be odd for Cena to tweet such a "historic" promise if it only involved a wish grant. Something that may have caught some fans unaware, John Cena is currently not scheduled to appear at Money In The Bank in July. Many fans believe Cena's historic announcement will be the WWE's top man revealing he will be taking part in the MITB Ladder Match, a match he has never taken part in throughout his storied career.
The other possibility, but also the most unlikely, is that John Cena announces he is taking a break from wrestling. Most fans would agree that Cena is leaning towards being "burnt out" after four years non stop without a break, including a hugely busy schedule late in 2011 while promoting the Wrestlemania "Once In A Lifetime" matchup.
Whatever the announcement tonight, it's quite clear the WWE need to rest John Cena, if only for a month, so he can come back fresh in time for SummerSlam.
