It'll be Day 2, or Round 2, of the Wimbledon 2012 tennis tournament on Tuesday. Action began on Monday, and the live streaming online, as well as televised coverage will resume with more matches and top stars playing on Tuesday.
The Wimbledon live streaming coverage is courtesy of ESPN's online broadband sports network, WatchESPN. It starts bright and early at 6:30 AM EST, with multiple courts from the England championship tournament on display. ESPN2 will be showing the games for those who prefer televised coverage.
So who can tennis fans expect to see in action on Tuesday for the Day 2 schedule of play? Andy Roddick will be featured on Court 1 during the day's coverage, as the third match there. Andy Murray will take on Davydenko of Russia on Centre court, right after Nadal and Belluci are done playing. Others in action will include the defending women's Wimbledon champion, Petra Kvitova, and former champion Serena Williams.
The defending men's champion, Novak Djokovic, had the first match on Centre Court on Monday. According to ESPN.com, Novak dispatched of Juan Carlos Ferrero, a former #1 player, 6-3. 6-3, 6-1 to advance. Next up, he'll take on American Ryan Harrison. Also dominating in an opening round win was six-time champion Roger Federer, who won 6-1, 6-1, 6-1, over Albert Ramos. Could Federer and Djokovic be on another collision course?
Djokovic is looking to start really bolstering his tennis resume. Federer had an impressive reign as the Wimbledon champion from 2003 to 2007, so it'll take five more years of proving he's the best in this England tournament, aka the Championships, for Djokovic to really start putting his name on the tennis map.
