The NBA Draft 2012 live stream and TV coverage will arrive on Thursday night, with pro basketball teams hoping to get the best players to fill their teams' needs. While it's expected that Anthony Davis will be the top pick by the New Orleans Hornets, the rest of the order is less certain.
The NBA Draft live streaming and televised show begins at 7:30PM EST via ESPN, and the WatchESPN broadband network. Fans can watch all of the draft picks from 1 through 14 as they step onto the stage, shake David Stern's hand, and put on their new team hat. Viewers may also see teams swing deals, shifting picks and players to other teams.
Players who should be seen on TV and the live stream include Anthony Davis, Harrison Barnes, Bradley Beal, and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. One guy who won't be present during the live event is UNC's Kendall Marshall. The Washington Post reports that he did not receive an invite to the event, so he will instead watch from Arlington, Virginia with family and friends.
Marshall said that the lack of an invite can serve as motivation for him to show just how good a player he is, commenting:
"Without a doubt. I think any player, any athlete whenever something is said about them or they don't get what they deserve, it just makes you work harder."
Marshall has been playing some pickup basketball with former teammates in North Carolina ahead of the draft. He also has been rehabilitating wrist and elbow injuries, with the UNC guard saying his elbow is "about 80 percent" along.
Kendall Marshall could be one of the steals of the 2012 NBA Draft when the live stream and televised coverage is shown via ESPN. While he won't be attending in person, he'll have plenty of time to show himself to the basketball world once he steps on the court. It's just a matter of which team is willing to take a gamble on a possible future star.
