The latest NBA trade rumors have the Miami Heat pulling off a draft day trade with the Philadelphia 76ers. Miami will part ways with Arnett Moultrie, the player that they selected with the No. 27 pick in the 2012 NBA Draft.
According to ESPN, Miami will receive the No. 45 pick of the 2012 NBA Draft as well as a future first round pick from Philadelphia. It seems like Miami is happy with the roster that they have already put together and that they would rather stock up with future picks than worry about finding a good spot for Moultrie right now.
As for Philadelphia, this gives the team another young weapon that could offer a lot to the team in the 2012-13 NBA season. Moultrie is a junior coming out of Mississippi State and has a wingspan of 7'2". He stands at 6 foot 11 and will give the 76ers a lot of added size in the middle. It had been projected that the 76ers would actually select him with their own first round pick, but went in a different direction at that time.
What do you think about this trade by the Miami Heat? Do you think that the Philadelphia 76ers got a steal in Arnett Moultrie for those two unnamed picks?
