Steve Nash could be done with his time as a member of the Phoenix Suns. NBA trade rumors could suddenly pop up if a secondary franchise wants to work out a sign-and-trade deal with the Suns. With just hours left before the NBA free agency period begins, it is starting to look more and more like Nash won't be signing a new deal with the Suns.
Nash told ESPN that he doesn't "necessarily feel like it's a home run anymore" when asked about staying in Phoenix. It seems like the Suns aren't as sold on retaining the former MVP as they used to be, possibly leading to Nash heading to a new team as soon as the offseason officially begins.
If the Suns are resigned to losing Nash, then the team needs to seriously consider working out a sign-and-trade deal so that they don't lose Nash for nothing in return. There are several teams out there that would be willing to consider a deal like that, including the Brooklyn Nets, Toronto Raptors or Boston Celtics.
It's no secret that the New York Knicks would love to bring in Nash, but he would have to be willing to take a pay cut to make it happen. That is, unless the team could work out one of those sign-and-trade deals with the Suns and send out a few players on the roster.
Do you think that the Phoenix Suns will actually part with Steve Nash? Which NBA franchise could use Nash the most?
