The Portland Trailblazers aren't playing any games.
As soon as NBA free-agency opened up on 12:01 am on July 1st, GM Neil Olshey contacted Roy Hibbert's representatives and made it known that they were interested in signing the All-Star center. Hibbert, is of course a restricted free-agent which means that the Pacers can match any offer for Hibbert.

However, that might become difficult as the Portland Trailblazers have reportedly offered Roy Hibbert the max contract offer according to RealGM. Hibbert is the best free-agent center on the market since Dwight Howard decided to opt-in to his deal with the Orlando Magic and hold off free-agency.
The Pacers are expected to match any offer for Hibbert, seeing as how he is an integral part of their core, but the Pacers weren't expecting to give Hibbert the full max. They are forced too now if they want to keep the promising young center. The Blazers have a gaping hole at center after they released formed number one overall pick Greg Oden due to injury issues.
