The Detroit Pistons are slowly building a very good team and with a good summer, this team could compete for one of the best records in the Eastern Conference next season.
Kris Humphries has become a very good player over the last couple of seasons and Detroit has a need for a physical presence in the paint. They have center Greg Monroe and drafted Andre Drummond last month, but they lack a complete player at power forward and adding a strong player in the paint could put this team over the top.
Last year the 27-year-old averaged nearly 14 points and 11 rebounds with the New Jersey Nets and now is looking to earn a big pay-day in his next contract. The former first round pick of the Utah Jazz has slowly developed into a quality player and this team needs to add a player that can score and rebound with Monroe in the paint.
While the Detroit Pistons are likely to look more at a role player this summer, signing a big power forward would strengthen their starting unit and bench, making them one of the top contenders for a playoff spot in the upcoming NBA season.
