New Miami Heat trade rumors have linked the team to the Houston Rockets. In this scenario, the Heat would work out a sign-and-trade deal with the Rockets to bring Marcus Camby in as a new center. That could become a great addition to the team, especially if he could become a good starting center for about 20 minutes a night in Miami.
If Miami is able to pull off a trade like this, they wouldn't have to use their exception to bring in someone like Camby, saving it for the team to sign someone like Ray Allen. If the Heat could bring in a high-energy player like Camby as well as Allen, that's already a huge improvement for their bench. It would be hard for other teams in the Eastern Conference to keep up with those improvements.

Camby has to figure out if he wants to play in Miami before a trade like this can go down, because there are several franchises that would like to bring him on for next year. Even though he has been around the league for a long time, Camby proved again last year (with the Portland Trail Blazers) that he can provide a distinct defensive presence in the low post. That's something that Miami would love to have.
Do you think that Marcus Camby would fit nicely with the Miami Heat? Are there other Heat trade rumors you think would help out the franchise more?
