Andre Iguodala is popping up in new NBA trade rumors, but these ones involve Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic. Sports writers Peter Vecsey took to Twitter to expound upon the current rumors and even put his theory into the mix last Saturday night (July 7).
Vecsey thinks that Iguodala is closer to getting traded now that he has been named to the 2012 U.S. Olympic team. He is a hot commodity still, possessing All-Star caliber skills that could get better utilized by a different franchise. This certainly wouldn't become the first time that the Philadelphia 76ers started shopping him, but getting involved in a Howard trade is another thing.

There are still plenty of NBA trade rumors out there about Howard going to the Brooklyn Nets, Los Angeles Lakers, or Los Angeles Clippers. In many of the deals, a third team would have to get involved, likely sending a highly paid player to the Magic as a way to cushion the blow of losing Howard. Maybe this is where Vecsey feels that the 76ers will come into the mix.
It's hard to figure out exactly why Philadelphia wants to trade Iguodala and what the team plans to get in exchange for him. That could be a reason why he gets involved in so many of the different rumors out there.
Do you think that the Philadelphia 76ers should help the Orlando Magic trade Dwight Howard? What would be the best landing spot for Andre Iguodala if the 76ers do end up trading him?
