There hasn't been much made about the seemingly forgotten WWE Cruiserweight Division. Vince McMahon and the heads of state at World Wrestling Entertainment have come under much criticism about how the cruiserweight division just seems to have been forgotten about in recent times. Speculation about the return of the cruiserweights has been slowly gathering momentum in recent weeks, and today's announcement of the signing of a big time international wrestling superstar famous for his antics in the cruiserweight division has only added to the talk.
According to PWInsider.com, World Wrestling Entertainment have signed British Wrestling sensation PAC who is known as "the man who forgot gravity." 25-year-old Benjamin Satterly, better known as PAC has been part of notable big time wrestling promotions on the independent circuit, including Ring Of Honor based in the USA and Dragon Gate over in Japan. As a magnificent high flyer, a foreseeable clash with the likes of Hunico, Kofi Kingston, and Evan Bourne when he returns could be a part of WWE's plans for PAC when he debuts in the company.
WWE have flopped some very notable high-flying superstars in the past, including the much talked about disappointments of Sin Cara who was originally planned to become a major superstar in the company. It remains to be seen if Benjamin Satterly will perform under his current ring name of PAC, or if creative will name his character something else, or if he will perform under his personal name.
Whatever way the creative team chooses to creatively target this hot new superstar, he will be a fitting addition to the cruiserweight division if indeed. Vince McMahon and Triple H have plans for a return to the high-flying division of wrestling. British wrestling fans will be stoked with this news. Satterly will join fellow English wrestlers, Wade Barrett and Mason Ryan as highly talented performers to make it in WWE out of England.
