Dallas is looking for depth, especially in the back-court and after Deron Williams's decision to play for Brooklyn, the list of available players that can help the Mavericks in the upcoming NBA season is shrinking by the day.
The latest rumor from Alex Kennedy has the team showing interest in point guard Aaron Brooks and for good reason. Brooks has averaged 12.5 points over his four years in the league, but the one year he played over 30 minutes per night, he averaged 19.6 points and 5.3 assists and that was just two years ago.
Dallas lost Jason Terry and Jason Kidd this off-season and Brooks is a player that can score and help players around him, both are needs for the team and his age allows the team to sign him for more than just one year.
Ramon Sessions is another player rumored on his way to the Mavericks, but Brooks has proven that he is the best available option at point guard and owner Mark Cuban and the Dallas franchise would make a wise decision in adding the former first round draft pick for at least the upcoming NBA season.
