Several Seattle Mariners trade rumors have surfaced, raising some questions about which players from the team are actually available. The Mariners are reportedly "wide open" to potential deals, even going to the extent of revealing which players in the franchise are untouchables.
It appears that there are only seven players in the entire organization that are on the untouchable list, including Felix Hernandez, Dustin Ackley and Kyle Seager on the MLB roster. Minor leaguers the team does not want to part with include Taijuan Walker, Danny Hultzen, James Paxton and Nick Franklin.

This leaves players like Jason Vargas, Kevin Millwood, Brandon League, Miguel Olivo and Brendan Ryan that could get traded before the July deadline. The Mariners would also love to part with Chone Figgins, but his struggles over the past few seasons have really killed his value. Don't count out Figgins getting packaged with other players though, just so Seattle can have the open roster slot.
As the Mariners sit in last place in the American League West, it is very obvious that the team needs to make moves soon. Some have thought that the team would be interested in acquiring outfielder Justin Upton from the Arizona Diamondbacks, but it might take one of those untouchable players to get a deal done.
Do you think that any huge Seattle Mariners trades will take place before July comes to a close? Should the team be looking to deal someone like Franklin Gutierrez or Justin Smoak?
