Chicago has won the most regular season NBA games for two straight seasons and the Bulls have done that without a true starting center. Joakim Noah is a terrific hustle player, but his lack of scoring in the paint hurts the team and Carlos Boozer has not been the answer.
The latest trade rumor from Bleacher Report has the team still showing interest in LA Lakers veteran Pau Gasol. The Spaniard would give the Bulls a force in the paint and a veteran player that has the playoff experience this team needs to succeed.
This deal could hinge on the Lakers trading for Dwight Howard, but it's still a real possibility. Chicago could send Noah, Richard Hamilton, and cash in the deal, giving Los Angeles a gritty power forward to play alongside Howard or Andrew Bynum and a shooting guard to help with depth in the back-court.
While a number of NBA trade rumors are buzzing around social media this summer, this deal has been a hot story for some time and Chicago really needs to add some punch to their lineup with the injury to Derrick Rose, making this one deal that could benefit both teams and give both franchises the players they need to knock Miami off the perch as the top team in the league.

But I'd still rather keep Gasol and Bynum!
