The London Olympics 2012 basketball schedule picks up with what should be another easy game on Thursday, 8/2. This time it's Team USA vs. Nigeria live streaming online in addition to NBC's continuing Olympics coverage.
The next Team USA live stream game for basketball gets going at 5:15PM EST on Thursday night. NBC Sports Network will once again broadcast the game to cable and satellite providers, while NBC Olympics site will show the game live online. Questions have surfaced about one of the key bench players from Team USA, as he may have suffered an injury in the United States victory over Tunisia. With limited players at the power forward and center position, the United States is hoping that isn't the case.
According to ESPN.com, Kevin Love took a bit of a hit to his right knee during one fast break lay-up. Love appeared to be unaffected by the injury as he hit several three pointers after sustaining it. So far, there's been no negative reports that Love is injured, so it appears he should be good to go for the Nigeria game. While Love is a reserve, the United States needs all the players they can have at his size.
It was also noted that the U.S. had a sluggish start against Tunisia, falling behind by 1 point in the first quarter. This came as a shock to the players and fans, mainly because Tunisia was considered the "weakest team" of the tournament. However, Team USA managed to overcome that early deficit en route to a 110 to 63 victory, making their second straight.
Next up, it's Team USA vs. Nigeria live streaming online and via television. The question shouldn't be who will win this one, but by how much? Also, which player will step up to lead the team here: LeBron, Kobe, Durant, Melo, or someone else?
