Boston followed up their NHL Stanley Cup title with another terrific season, but the Bruins have some decisions to make this summer and adding another scorer would make this team a front-runner in the Eastern Conference.
The only real trade rumors involving the team surround goalie Tim Thomas, but no recent activity has taken place about the goalie and he could sit out this season. Thomas is one of the best veteran goalies in the league, but the Bruins are going with youth in the net this season and Thomas is likely done as a member of the team.
The Bruins have been involved in rumors surrounding Bobby Ryan, but recent reports have the team passing on the young winger as the asking price by Anaheim is very high for the 25-year-old.
Boston still has a good nucleus of talent and will compete for a spot in the NHL Playoffs this season, but the team has definitely dropped down in the Eastern Conference rankings and will need a good showing from the younger players if they want to contend as one of the top teams in the league this season.
