Josh Freeman has received some high praise from his newest teammate.
After the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had an abysmal season last year in which they went 4-12 and had to fire their head coach Raheem Morris, much of the blame was put on Freeman, the starting quarterback. Freeman threw 16 touchdowns but had a terrible 22 interceptions, which was one of the highest in the NFL last year.

However, the Buccaneers' newest acquisition Vincent Jackson, who left the San Diego Chargers, still thinks very highly of Freeman. According to a report, Jackson called Freeman a top five quarterback in the NFL. His exact statements were the following: "We have tight ends, running backs and obviously, Josh Freeman, and he's a quarterback I think should be mentioned among the top five in the league."
That's certainly high praise for Freeman, even from his teammates, as his play last year was far from top five caliber. In a league which has quarterbacks such as Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, Drew Brees and Eli Manning, it's hard to put Freeman anywhere near that category, with his play last season.
