Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte says he's up for becoming ABC's next Bachelor. The gold medalist claims he's eager to find someone with whom to settle down. He also wants to try his luck on television. That's why he recently accepted a guest spot on the CW hit 90210.
However, Ryan's not opposed to doing reality TV too. If ABC came knocking at his door, he indicated he probably wouldn't turn them away. He told Access Hollywood correspondent Laura Saltman that he'd definitely think about being the show's next major contestant.
"I definitely would," he insisted. "...You know, before I was training so much that I didn't have time for a girlfriend," he said. "But I wanted to give that perfect someone my heart. Now that the Olympics are over, I definitely want to settle down."
Ryan hopes that, if ABC does ask him to take part in The Bachelor, it's easier than his stint on 90210. "...Memorizing lines and trying to say them and do movement and all that... was hard," he admits. He said swimming in front of a lot of people was much easier. "That was a piece of cake," he noted.
There's no denying Ryan's got the looks and the physique that The Bachelor normally likes to go for. Therefore, it's possible the reality series just might take him up on his offer. No doubt there'd be a lot of lovely women willing to vie for the Olympian's attention.
