This is the best week of the NFL preseason schedule as teams will play this game like a real contest. Starters will see plenty of playing time and rookies will get their shot at impressing coaches.
All the action begins on Thursday night this week with three games. The feature contest has the Green Pay Packers and their high-octane offense on the road to face the young and improving Cincinnati Bengals in a game with two teams that made last year's playoffs.
Saturday has six games on tap with the key game between the Chicago Bears and last year's Super Bowl winning NY Giants. Chicago is looking to quarterback Jay Cutler to finally lead this team to another title and this year's team has enough talent to compete for a championship, but the NY Giants will look to defend their title with a strong showing this week.
Saturday has an intriguing game as the top two picks from April's draft face off as the Indianapolis Colts and Andrew Luck travel to Washington and will face Robert Griffin and the Redskins.
Two of the most surprising teams in the NFL last year play on Sunday as the San Francisco 49ers look to continue the momentum they built off last season and travel to Denver to face Peyton Manning and the Colts.
While preseason is not the best football to watch, this week will give fans a good idea of what their favorite team will look like this year as coaches will actually set a game plan and give youngsters a real taste of what is needed from them if they want to make a living playing the game they love.
