It's just another day in the NBA off-season and more talk and rumors are circulating around social media sites, but this time the story could have some validation as the latest gossip has Sacramento Kings guard Jimmer Fredette on the trading block once again.
Sam Amico from Fox Sports has reported that the Oklahoma City Thunder are showing some interest in the 2011 first-round draft pick and that a move to OKC is just what the young guard needs to rejuvenate his career.
Fredette struggled last year with Sacramento as he averaged just over 7 points per game and lost confidence in his shot, causing him to lose minutes as the season progressed, but part of the problem was the lack of quality talent around him, especially team members willing to pass the basketball and a move to a high-octane offensive unit like the Thunder, could have his confidence and shooting numbers back where experts predicted when he came out of college.
The NBA is tough on rookies, and confidence is the key to success, but players often get second or third chances in the league, and Fredette could find his place if the Kings workout a deal with another team before the start of the upcoming season.
