The NY Knicks made some interesting decisions this summer and it could come back to haunt them, but for now they are entering the upcoming NBA season with a terrific front-court and a back-court that lacks depth.
The latest rumor and buzz about the team has them showing interest in rookie free agent Tony Taylor Jr. from George Washington University. The youngster made a good impression on the front office with his play in the summer league and with the team having depth issues at guard, a signing of this youngster could happen soon.
Taylor averaged over 13 points and four assists last season as a senior and has improved his game each year in college. However, the team needs an impact player and this signing would likely lead to the young guard playing very little with the NY Knicks this season.
Fans of the NY Knicks were expecting more this summer as the team lost Jeremy Lin in free agency and did little to replace their young star. But the NBA salary cap also plays a big part in how teams prepare for a season and this team may need to wait a year or two to make the roster changes needed to win a title.
